last stroll of the day in Port-en-Bessin, along the jetty to admire the last rays of the setting sun on the cliffs.

Plan to spend the week-end of November 12 and 13 in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain for the Taste of the High-Seas Festival, which combines the Scallop Festival and the European Sea Shanty Festival.

Two days of fun celebrating the maritime tradition of Port-en-Bessin, the 1st fishing port in the Calvados and the 3rd in Normandy. You will be able to buy scallops and fresh fish directly from the fishermen, taste local dishes prepared with their latest catch, visit the trawlers, the shipyard and the historic ships lovingly restored by local volunteers, listen to sea shanties, dance to the Cajun music of Sarah Savoy & the Francadians, see craftsmen ply their trade, try your hand at the knots favored by the fishermen, listen to stories of the ocean ... all kinds of activities on a single theme: The sea.

And the fishermen's wives will cook up their best recipes so that you can savor the best scallops there is.
