A l'écart de la Grand'Rue, on trouve des ruelles tranquilles qui serpentent autour du Mont, sous l'Abbaye. Vous y trouverez des belles vues sur la mer, la terre, et les toits du village.
A compter du 28 avril 2012, l'accueil se fera dans le nouveau parc de stationnement paysager construit sur la terre ferme. Vous serez alors à 2,5 km du Mont-Saint-Michel, où vous pourrez vous rendre soit à pied, en voiture à cheval, ou en navette.
The promeneurs à pied devront compter 45 mns de trajet. Trois sentiers, agrémentés pour deux d’entre eux de parcours d’interprétation sur le Mont-Saint-Michel et sa baie, vous permettront d’avancer vers le Rocher tout en bénéficiant d’une vue imprenable sur la Baie.
À la manière des pèlerins d’autrefois, vous pourrez également emprunter la Maringote, une navette hippomobile inédite, tirée par des chevaux de trait du terroir local (Cobs Normands, Postiers Bretons, Percherons).
Si vous êtes pressés, la navette motorisée vous déposera au pied du Mont en 6 minutes.
Away from the main street which leads to the Abbey, you can find narrow alleys, quiet and deserted, that make their way around small gardens and stone houses just under the abbey walls. There, you will enjoy beautiful views of the sea, the land, and the roofs of the village.

Starting on April 28, 2012, you will be welcomed at the Mont-Saint-Michel in a new wooded parling lot and information center on the mainland, 2.5 kms from the Mont. You will access the Mont-St-Michel either on foot, by shuttle bus, or by a horse-drawn carriage.
Hikers should plan for a 45 minute walk. Three trails with a peerless view of the Bay take you to Mont Saint-Michel. Two of them feature interpretive plaques with facts on Mont Saint-Michel and the bay.
Like the pilgrims of days gone by, you too can take the Maringote, a unique horse-drawn shuttle. The horses will be of loacal stock: Norman Cobs, Postiers Bretons, and Percherons.
If you are in a hurry, the shuttle will take you to the foot of the Mont in 6 minutes.

Je suppose que, comme au Pont du Gard, cet unique et donc obligatoire parking sera payant. Un racket comme un autre.
